Today, the mosque continues to be an important spiritual and cultural center, preserving the rich Islamic heritage of Bukhara.
Here is the legend of the mosque
One day, a poor orphan boy named Karim came to the mosque every day to clean and help the old imam. He was kind, honest, and always curious about the mosque's history. One evening, while sweeping the floor near the oldest wall, he found a small stone that looked different from the others. When he touched it, a part of the wall opened, revealing a hidden room.
